Service Description

Travelling with bladder or catheter-related needs can be stressful, particularly when navigating unfamiliar health systems and medical supplies. This service supports overseas visitors travelling through New Zealand who require professional continence or catheter-related assistance during their stay. Support may include assessment and troubleshooting of catheter or bladder management concerns, education to support safe ongoing care, and assistance navigating New Zealand’s private and public health system. Where required, support can also include coordinating catheter and continence supplies and arranging delivery to temporary accommodation. Where clinically appropriate, referrals can be organised to local GPs, specialists, pharmacies, or medical suppliers for prescriptions, investigations, or follow-up care. Services are delivered in a professional, respectful, and culturally sensitive manner, with a focus on safety, continuity, and minimising disruption to travel plans. Appointments are available in clinic, at accommodation, or via virtual consultation, depending on individual needs and location. This service may include: - Continence and catheter assessment and troubleshooting - Support with indwelling or intermittent catheter management - Education to support safe ongoing bladder care while travelling - Assistance navigating New Zealand’s public and private health systems - Coordination of catheter and continence supplies - Organisation of delivery to accommodation - Referrals to local GPs, specialists, pharmacies, or medical suppliers when required - Follow-up support to assist continuity of care during travel Please note: appointment fees cover clinical assessment and coordination only. Medical supplies, prescriptions, courier costs, and third-party provider fees are not included and are charged separately.
