Service Description

Catheter care appointments focus on safe, comfortable, and effective management of urinary catheters. This service supports people with short- or long-term catheters and aims to reduce complications while promoting comfort and confidence. Appointments may include catheter change or removal, assessment of catheter function, skin and insertion site care, troubleshooting of common catheter issues, and education for ongoing self-care where appropriate. Care is provided in a respectful, non-judgemental environment and tailored to individual needs. Where indicated, referrals can be arranged to your GP or specialist, and laboratory tests may be organised if clinically required, for example to investigate infection or catheter-related concerns. Appointments are available in clinic or via home visits, depending on individual needs and preferences. Please note: catheter equipment and consumables are not included in the appointment fee and will need to be supplied separately.
